Features

  • Hide and Show applications  See Demo
  • Drag and Drop buttons on taskbar and change their order as you wish
  • Save and Restore order of taskbar buttons
  • Disable annoying Startup programs
  • Schedule automatic computer shutdown/logoff/restart
  • Quick shortcuts to shutdown, logoff or reboot your machine

Why do you need Taskbar Manager?

  • Taskbar Manager provides an easy way to arrange the taskbar buttons as you like, regardless of the order in which the applications were started. For instance, you may want Microsoft Outlook icon to be at the leftmost position on the taskbar. Such buttons can be moved to their new positions by dragging and dropping them. Advantage is that you don't have to scan the taskbar to find the application you want to work with.
  • Another great feature is the ability to hide running applications. This is especially useful when you don't want to show the application but you need to run it in the background. A hidden application can be easily made visible later.
  • You can use Startup Manager to view the list of programs that run automatically when your system starts. These applications are sometimes very annoying and slow down the startup sequence. Taskbar Manager gives you an option to enable or disable these applications.
  • If you want to shutdown, logoff or restart the computer after a time interval, you can do it with Taskbar Manager. e.g. this feature is good to use when you fall asleep while watching a movie and would like you computer to automatically shutdown to save power.

What customers are saying

"I was very pleased to come across Taskbar Manager – I have been looking for this feature in Windows for a long time!  This program works very nicely at keeping the taskbar organized as the USER wants it, not as Windows loads all of your startup applications.  This makes using Windows more efficient for me, as I no longer have to scan the taskbar to find a window that I want to restore.  THIS IS A FEATURE THAT MICROSOFT SHOULD HAVE INCLUDED IN WINDOWS – THANKS Askarya Technologies.

Furthermore, I encountered the need for support; I have very rarely had such a quick, thorough, and courteous reply.  This is very, very rare in this day and age, and demonstrates pride, contentiousness, and a can-do attitude.

A very useful tool for Windows, the ability to try-before you buy, a reasonable price, and fast, courteous, no-nonsense support make Taskbar Manager a MUST HAVE for Windows!"

"A great program for multi-taskers at a reasonable price
Pros: For starters, technical support is outstanding! The program runs in the background and consumes very little memory, and I have found it does not compromise the speed of my machine. It allows me to run multiple applications in the order I want them, not the order that I started or closed them. Particularly helpful if the user has several similar documents they are cross-referencing. The user can put the most recent at a place of their chosing, allowing multi-tasking more quickly and efficiently.
Cons: I've noticed that the program is 95% accurate, and sometimes the shortcut you chose to drop and drag will land one spot away."

"I had been searching for a way to keep my taskbar icons in the same place each time I use my computer. Since I often have 7 or 8 applications open at the same time, I had to continuously search the taskbar when I wanted to maximize a particular application. I tried a few other taskbar utilities, but Taskbar Manager is the only one that worked. And, for ten bucks, how could you go wrong. I did have a couple of issues, but these were quickly resolved within one hour via online tech support. It's well worth the money, and it is something that Microsoft should have included as part of the operating system."

"In todays fast paced world time is a premium; Taskbar Manager is one of my must have pieces of software that saves me time.  It's not unusual for me to have six or seven programs running at a time, and they're usually the same six or seven programs.  Before I found Taskbar Manager I would find myself wasting time visually scanning the taskbar to locate the program I needed to get to.  With Taskbar manager I can arrange my programs on the taskbar in the order I prefer with a single the click of a button.  This allows me to work faster since I know where ever program is on the taskbar.
I also run a lot of software on my computer and frequently found it being slowed down by memory hogging programs that wanted to insert themselves into the startup sequence, usually hiding themselves deep in the Windows Registry.  With Taskbar Manager I manage which programs run at startup and it's easy and painless.
Last but not least, it's an absolute bargain, and when I had a question support was prompt and quickly asnwered my question.  I recommend it highly."

"Taskbar Manager has helped me a lot during work because now i am able to still chat with my kids and when my boss comes in i can always just hide the window and i still didnt sign off of MSN.

I like the feature that you can hide things that are in the sysytem tray.

It is obviously better than others mainly because you can drag programs that are in the tray and move them in an order you like.

Its an amazing program, one thing I wish i knew how to do is if only the program can run on start up and start hiding the programs automatically as soon as the computer turns on.
